In
salesforce which fields are indexed automatically
The following fields are
indexed by default:
primary keys (Id, Name and
Owner fields),
foreign keys (lookup or
master-detail relationship fields),
audit dates (such as
LastModifiedDate),
Custom fields marked as
External ID or Unique.
